Want to know a little more about me?

I'm Clara, a yoga teacher in Asturias and the founder of Karuna Yoga Eventos, a space created to bring together wellbeing and the identity of our land.

Local Roots

Everything we do grows from the Asturian territory. We don't bring wellbeing from outside and plug it into the land. We build it from within, with the people who inhabit it and with what the season has to offer.

Holistic Wellness

We believe wellbeing happens when everything moves together: the body, the emotions, the surroundings, the shared table. That's why each event is a complete experience: the yoga session opens, the gastronomy nourishes, the workshop connects.

Community

What matters most to us is not the events themselves, but what remains afterwards. The people who come back, who reconnect, who arrive alone and leave wanting to return. People don't come for a one-off event. They come for something they trust.

Profesora de yoga en Asturias Karuna

Since 2019 yoga has been my way of returning to myself: to calm, balance and presence.

For me, yoga is a balancing practice that extends far beyond the mat and runs through the way I live, move through the world and relate to my surroundings.

Drawing on a perspective that combines psychology and conscious body practice, I design experiences that go beyond the mat and become spaces of pause, presence and connection.

My approach to wellbeing is holistic and experiential. It's not just about the body or the mind, but about integrating emotion, spirituality, environment and community.

I'm deeply curious and passionate about discovering new ways of inhabiting the territory, its trades and local culture. That's why I created these experiences: to bring together wellbeing, gastronomy and local discovery in a single day.

Asturias is my starting point, but the vision is open: creating experiences that can travel and adapt to different territories without losing their essence.

Karuna significa compasión, cuidado amoroso, en sánscrito. Karuna means compassion, loving care, in Sanskrit. It's the way I want every experience to feel: the person cared for, the craft cared for, the territory cared for.

My path as a yoga instructor and teacher

Clara Gómez profesora de yoga en Gijón Asturias

I'm Clara, a psychologist and yoga teacher.

My professional path began in psychology, but it was yoga that profoundly transformed my understanding of health, support and emotional wellbeing.

Over the years I have woven a holistic perspective that integrates psychological knowledge with bodily experience and conscious presence. My training includes, among others, specialisations in:

  • Yoga therapy for stress and anxiety
  • Yoga and mindfulness for emotional wellbeing
  • Yoga for transformational processes
  • Yoga Sensible al Trauma
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Emotional Trauma Intervention

Karuna significa compasión, cuidado amorosoKaruna means compassion, loving care, in Sanskrit. It's the way I want every experience to feel: the person cared for, the craft cared for, the territory cared for.

Trying new things

In winter, ceramics, candles and spa; in summer, surfing, caving and the coast.

Eating well

With seasonal Asturian produce, in places that cook with history.

Living the territory

Each experience takes place in a specific location in Asturias.
